A water colour painting by Claude Buckle entitled 'Going Alongside'
This picture appeared in R.S.M.A book ‘Themes in marine painting, River Coast and Estuary’. The picture measures 15in by 21in and was reproduced by the kind permission of Mrs Barbara Buckle.
The picture shows the harbour and larger fishing vessel with a smaller boat ‘going alongside’. The smaller vessel contains two fishermen in the foreground of the picture. Claude Buckle’s water colour is a tranquil scene but also one showing where work is taking place.
