The Eden Valley a railway poster by Claude Buckle
Between the Pennines and the Lakeland hills, the lovely Eden valley has all the charm and tranquillity of the English northern Pennine countryside. This railway poster by Claude Buckle certainly shows off the North Pennines in the district of Appleby with river Eden shown spectacularly against the great Dufton Pike at the Bridge at Bolton. The famous Eden railway stills runs today with the stop nearby at Appleby. The poster was painted in oils in 1959.
