A Water Colour by Claude Buckle entitled Fisherman

water colour of a fisherman standing in a river.
This is a particularly interesting picture as it clearly demonstrates the artist’s mastery over the painting of water. In the picture the water is still but the movement of the fisherman creates ripples which are moving out from the epicentre in a highly realistic way. In this water colour picture Claude Buckle shows a river with a fisherman dressed in outdoor cloths including a hat and holding a fishing rod. The picture appears to be unsigned which is unusual. Created in 1967.
